With a passion for justice, Tessie D. Edwards zealously advocates protecting individuals’ rights in matters of family law and criminal defense.
Since graduating from Indiana University School of Law in 2005, she has served as Assistant Solicitor General in Clayton County where she prosecuted countless misdemeanor cases such as family violence, driving under the influence, possession of marijuana, and theft. She also served as an Assistant District Attorney in Fulton County, where she prosecuted felonies including burglaries, violent charges, thefts, drugs, gun charges, and crimes against women and children such as child molestation and rape.
Over time, her zeal to help children and families drew her toward the practice of family law. She strives to help families recognize how to put the best interests of their children at the forefront and to find solutions that meet the needs of the family while still fulfilling the legal requirements demanded by the courts. Whether it's helping fathers obtain legitimation, custody, and visitation with their children or helping families transition from married to divorced and into their happy new beginning, Tessie is zealously advocates for her client every step of the way.
